I had a cold two weeks ago. Knocked me for a loop. But I kept on plugging along, doing my house, teaching my 35 students, writing my stuff. My husband caught the cold the next week, and took two days off from work and whined and carried on and sniffled so dramatically I finally said, "I'm sorry. It looks like you caught my cold." And, I kid you not, he said, "You had a cold??" He didn't need the cough medicine. I just punched his lights out. Oh, my word. I had a cold two weeks ago. Knocked me for a loop.
