When Aqua Net Ruled: Class of 1988
Now that we have Facebook, every day can be a high school reunion, but a lot of people I know are within a few years of their real live-and-in-person 20-year reunions. Mine was last year, and because I couldn’t make it, I decided to remember the best parts here. I hadn’t thought about it since then, but last week friend mentioned she was planning for her reunion when she found all my posts. So I thought I’d round them up into one place. I wouldn’t want to go back, but weren’t the 80s fun?
Class of ’88 Virtual Reunion Tour – The kickoff post.
1988 High School Reunion: The Movies – I still think we had the best movies, all with those cheesy soundtracks.
Class of ’88: So What’ve You Been Up To? – Twenty years in twenty lines.
High School: If You Had To Do It All Over? – Hindsight is always 20/20. What would you change if you could live high school over again today?
Virtual Reunion: Why Facebook is Better Than Your 20-Year Reunion – I didn’t actually find all my high school friends on Facebook until after the reunion. I’m behind that way. I only hope that others will learn from my mistakes.
Class of ’88: News You Never Noticed – Current events you were too hungover busy filling out college applications to care about.
Famous Sehome Alums- We’ve got more than our fair share. And looks like Wikipedia finally got rid of the Iron Maiden story. Dang. I thought we were something out of Spinal Tap for a minute there.
High School: The Best Years of Your Life? I Hope Not- Adolescence is hard. How could they ever be considered the best of anyone’s life?
1988 – All About the Hair – Had I not cut off all my hair a few years later, I’m sure you’d have had to pry that can of Aqua Net out of my cold, dead fingers.
